I think Sony could make a 20$ HD remaster of Twisted Metal 2 with a decent online mode and have it be successful.From the days of the PS one, this downloadable game allows you to play the classic original on your PSP handheld system or PS3 home console. With Spyro and Crash getting their remasters the only Sony first party games that are higher sales wise than Twisted 2 and haven't been remade were Gran Turismo 1 and 2. Would anyone else be interested in a Twisted Metal 2 HD Remaster? Nostalgia for the PS1 is about as high as it will ever get and PS1 HD remasters are popular. The PS3 version was a relative flop (despite in my opinion having really good gameplay) mainly because the online never worked and was never balanced out (Also the story choice turned some people off.)īut Twisted Metal Black being the 4th highest selling PS2 game on the PS4 digital marketplace shows that there is still some audience for the game in my mind. I also enjoyed the PS2 port of the PSP game.īut I do find it sad that Sony's longest running first party IP has fallen on hard times lately.

I always enjoy booting up Twisted Metal 2, Twisted Metal Black, and Twisted Metal PS3. The Twisted Metal series is one of my favorite of all time, there is something very unique about the ethos of that game and the gameplay.
